TARUMI Kengo

Born in Nagano Prefecture. Studied at Kuwasawa Design School and worked in Bungeishunju’s photography department before becoming a freelance photographer.
Moved to Okinawa in the mid-1980s and currently resides in Naha City. He has lived in Okinawa for over 40 years.
He has been walking around the islands of Okinawa through photography for JTA’s in-flight magazine “Coralway,” and continues to photograph various places and people in Japan and around the world. He holds the title of “Southern Photographer. He has held many solo exhibitions.
